My friend took me here for dinner on Thursday. We weren't too hungry so we had some appetizers instead... I had the tuna (excellent with the zesty sauce) and my friend had the poke. The girls who work at this place are quite visually appealing and I was amused that my friend was able to keep his eyes on me. I was here for a Friday lunch with a party of 4 in a comfortable booth. There are hooks to hang your coat up at each booth. The seared tuna with bacon sandwich was so delicious. I was somewhat looking for a healthier option. You gotta love rare and tender or else don't order this. I normally love their yam fries but stuck with regular fries this time around. Had a fabulous dinner, new partner n' I ordered the tuna tartar, caesar salad, and scallops for starts, had the lamb and sea bass for mains, and apple tart for dessert. Divine really, all of it very expensive though. But my boyfriend was treating me for my birthday and I was very happy and incidentally for a new relationship deeply touched. Service was lovely, had a bit of an accident and spilled my half glass of red on the boyfriend, oops, manager noticed the mishap and brought us a tide to go stick. It was my first time being at Cactus Club West on Broadway & Granville. My experience there was phenomenal! Not only was the food delicious, our server Emma F definitely made the night for us and she will be someone we won’t forget! I recently visited this (new?) location with my friends and much to my joy the service was cool and attractive and the server was attentive... In other words, very good!! The food was good to above average and well cooked! tasty Chicken, and I special ordered melting cheese. Being a fan of inventive food, I will probably return to this location just for that but would definitely take a drive here also to satisfy my appetite for eye candy. We had the crab cakes and a salad to start and we both so enjoyed the sabelfish entree. It was one of the best sablelfish fish I have ever had, it was so moist and served overall in a healthy manner. We shared their chocolate molten cake dessert which was gooey good. Just as we were about to leave we noticed live music at 9pm so we stayed a little more longer to enjoy with some hot drinks. Went there for brunch - the food is great which is why I think people go there.....as the service is somewhat lacking. Staff are fairly friendly but they pack the place without enough staff. Like that they serve espresso and their benny's are good. Read more
