I looked for reviews for or a well-rated hair salon, and that led me to Lynne at Salon Rouge. She was fantastic; she listened to me explain about my hair, and did an amazing job. Even after 20 years at this location, the owner Italo is there every evening to make certain that everything is right! This is the best Northern Italian cuisine east of Montreal, IMHO. The larger centre of Halifax, NS has a more pompous and pricey place, but Sirenella consistently delivers fresh and delicious meals in an atmosphere which is conducive to romance later in the evening, but is family-friendly earlier on. Italo's wife Lise makes the delicious deserts as well. Zagat ranked Sirenella #1 for service (thanks, Shawn, Hiro, Christian, & Corin) and #2 for food, so you can see why I come back every vacation, and why I think that it is PEI's best overall bet. Perfectly grilled haddock light and flaky on a delicious bed of basmati pilaf rice. Enjoyed The vodka drink with ginger beer and lime was served in a chilled mug adorned with a mint leaf. This restaurant was quite busy at the time but easily handled the customers only waited up to 20 minutes for a well cleaned table and seating area. The table cleanup staff was thorough. Read more
